A Wicked Ghost

Leung Hung-wah got his start in the early 1980s as an actor in a few films not many people remember. In 1986, he penned his first screenplay,Ghost Snatchers, which starred Michael Wong and Joyce Godenzi (She Shoots Straight). When Leung crossed over into directing, his interest in low-budget horror films became apparent. Mystery Files was his first directorial effort, and in 1999 he followed it up with A Wicked Ghost, an obvious though not entirely dismissible attempt to cash in on the popularity of the Japanese horror film Ring.
